the old iron posts are finally being removed today. it wrecked any chance of curb appeal these last few years and i finally had enough! come to find out, it's surprisingly very easy (and affordable) to replace them with simple posts. why didn't i do this sooner?
we thought about ordering the
pre-made columns from home depot, until i realized the depth of those would be too tight in spots for a walk through. so we decided on 4x6 pressure treated wood posts instead.
it took them less than 3 hours this morning to remove the iron and replace them with a more simple look. tomorrow they'll be back to add bases and paint. what a difference already!
landscaping is also on the agenda. if only it would cool off a bit ...
